Ron Wallis is an entrepreneur who decentralised his business from Sydney to Coffs Harbour in the 1960s. He established Walco in Toormina, a leading industrial metallurgical company. With over 100 employees, Ron became a key player in the supply of hoists within the development of metropolitan areas in Australia, Singapore and other Asian locations.

Ron's former factory underwent a transformation in later years: It became a noise reduction precast concrete production plant, operating under the brand name Pacific Precast.
